Thrift Shop Part-Time Sales Associate Job Application
Join our team! The Mountain Post Thrift Shop is looking for a part-time employee to join our team for immediate hire.
The Mountain Post Thrift Shop, a program of the Mountain Post Spouses' Club, is a retail shop whose mission is to serve our Fort Carson and military communities through the sale of affordable goods. Proceeds from the shop go back into the community via educational scholarships to military dependents, SFRG grants to Fort Carson units, and community grants to organizations that serve our military and Fort Carson/Greater Colorado Springs communities. Sales Associate Job Responsibilities include:

Greet and direct customers

Respond to customers' questions

Provide outstanding customer service

Manage/process financial transactions

Assist with accepting donations, sorting, and pricing

Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise

Assist with front-of-house operations, including running the POS system and keeping the area clean and organized

Keep shopping areas clean, organized, and arranged/re-arranged as needed
Hours and Benefits:
Must be available:
Monday-Thursday from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm and
the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:30 am-2:30 pm.
This is an hourly wage position. Starting wage is $13.65/hour, with the opportunity for advancement and bonuses.
Retail Sales Associate Qualifications/Skills:

Must be able to lift 40lbs and stand continuously for up to 8 hours
Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Retail experience desired, but not required
Other Requirements:

Must have own access to Fort Carson

Must undergo and pass a background check at the Thrift Shop Expense
