For the month of February's Community Outreach, we shine a light on the Springs Rescue Mission (SRM).  Homelessness, poverty and addiction are harsh realities for so many men and women in Colorado Springs. SRM provides life changing services and offers a safe, welcoming environment for transformation.  Thanks to community support, the Mission offers these individuals access to innovative programs to help them restore their health, find jobs and move into permanent housing.

 

As the largest homeless service provider in southern Colorado, with the capacity to host up to 450 men and women every night, there is a great need for "FIRST NIGHT ESSENTIALS".  At our social this month, we will be collecting new/unused items with this theme: SHOWER ITEMS (travel-sized shampoo and conditioner, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products and razors) and CLEAN CLOTHES (laundry pods).  When you bring a donation to the social, you will receive one free opportunity ticket.

 

We  encourage you to visit Springs Rescue Mission on Facebook to learn more about this organization and to write a note to a resident for Valentine's Day.
